Curriculum Vitae and Language Passport

If one wants to use same template for Curriculum Vitae or Language Passport as I used and wants to know something about those two documents than one should know about Europass.

What is Europass?
Whether you are planning to enrol in an education or training programme, looking for a job, or getting experience abroad, it is important to be able to make your skills and competences clearly understood.

Europass is a new way of helping people to:
  • make their skills and qualifications clearly and easily understood in Europe (European Union, EFTA/EEA and candidate countries);
  • move anywhere in Europe.

Europass consists of five documents:

  • two documents (Europass curriculum vitae (CV) and Europass Language Passport) you can fill in yourself; and
  • three other documents (Europass Certificate Supplement, Europass Diploma Supplement and Europass Mobility) filled in and issued by competent organisations

For a further reading about all of these five documents and downloading templates of Europass Cirriculum Vitae and Europass Language Passport follow links below:

Portfolio

Before I have started creating my career portfolio I wanted to know as much as it is possible about the subject. I read "The Career Portfolio Workbook" by Frank Satterthwaite and Gary D'orsi, which I would like to recommend to everybody who wants to know about career portfolio, and this book has been a roadmap to me how to create my career portfolio and it is a guide in a way to show me direction in which I have to improve myself and also gave me answers on a lot of questions.

What is a career portfolio?
Why should you use a career portfolio?
Who should use a career portfolio?
What are the steps in a portfolio creation process?
How to create master and targeted "Can do portfolio"?
What are the differences between resume and portfolio?
What are the examples of portfolio documents?

Very important feature of the book is five portfolio examples which can be a baseline for a beginner.
